UTICA, NY – It has been a busy summer for this group of Utica high school students who attended and successfully graduated from the junior police academy program. Today, their hard work paid off.

“Today we graduated 18 Jr. Cadets from Utica’s Junior Public Safety Academy. This is a program geared towards high school students who have an interest in a future career in police or fire,” the department said during the graduation ceremony. “Jr. Cadets get hands-on learning experience from the Utica Police and Fire Department, earn 3 college credits, and make connections that will last them a lifetime. We hope we get the opportunity to work alongside these talented individuals in their future careers.”

Congratulations all!
