“Today we graduated 18 Jr. Cadets from Utica’s Junior Public Safety Academy. This is a program geared towards high school students who have an interest in a future career in police or fire,” the department said during the graduation ceremony. “Jr. Cadets get hands-on learning experience from the Utica Police and Fire Department, earn 3 college credits, and make connections that will last them a lifetime.
