LAVALLETTE, NJ – For decades, Joe Pesci’s spacious waterfront mansion filled with Hollywood memorabilia has been a tourist attraction at the Jersey Shore. The 79-year-old actor sold his Barnegat Bay home for nearly $ 5 million this past winter and the new owners have decided to demolish the 1980s-style mansion for something new.

This week, John Caravella of Caravella Demolition, based out of East Hanover razed the iconic home. The entire home was classic 1980s architecture and decor and it appears that the new owners placed little value on the dated appearance or the home’s link to one of America’s Hollywood elite.

The parcel of land is now for sale and the property has been split into two lots. One of those empty waterfront lots is now for sale with an asking price of $3.2 million.
