Maryland natural resource police charge goose hunter for exceeding legal limit

POCOMOKE CITY, MD -the Maryland natural resources police have announced the arrest of to goose hunters you have exceeded the legal limit of geese

According to police, on Friday NRP Officers in Worcester County conducted a compliance check involving four resident goose hunters in a field off of Cedar Hall Road in Pocomoke City.

“During their inspection, police discovered that the hunters possessed 43 dead resident geese, putting them 11 over their legal limit of 32,” police said. “One of the men, James East, 60, claimed possession of the geese. As a result, police charged him with exceeding the limit of waterfowl.”


He faces up to $5,000 in fines. The geese were donated to an impoverished family for sustenance.
