Caught On Camera: Cop Car Stolen From D.C. Police Headquarters

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man stole a Washington D.C. Metro Police car on Sunday morning in Northeast D.C. The vehicle has since been located. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Suppression Division are investigating this incident, which happened on the 2800 block of New York Avenue. Police are asking for help identifying the suspect.

According to police investigating the incident, no suspects or motives have been announced at this time. No arrests have been made.

Police say, “At approximately 7:07 am, the suspect entered a secure MPD facility at the listed location. The suspect took an MPD vehicle then fled the scene. The vehicle has been recovered.”
