Three Shot, 30 Year-Old Man Dead In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Three men were shot on Wednesday afternoon in Southeast D.C. A 30 year-old man died from his injuries. Detectives from the Washington D.C. Metro Police Homicide Unit are investigating this incident, which happened on the 600 block of Chesapeake Street.

Police say, “At approximately 4:47 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, the members located three adult male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victims to local hospitals. After all life-saving efforts failed, one of the victims was pronounced dead. The two remaining victims received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.”

30-year-old Kendrick Phillips of Southeast, D.C. was identified as the victim who did not survive.
