Philadelphia Woman Killed, Crushed Between Two Ambulances

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A woman was killed in a freak accident in the Germantown section of Philadelphia the Saturday morning. According to police at around 10:10 a.m. officers responded to the area of the 200 block of West Chelten Avenue.

Upon their arrival, police found a woman pinned between two ambulances.

Police said the incident occurred when a private ambulance crew arrived on the scene to transport a patient and another ambulance crew arrived to assist the first crew.

“The driver of one of the ambulances exited the vehicle and that vehicle began to roll backwards,” one witness reported. “The driver jumped back into the vehicle, but put their foot on the accelerator instead of the break.”


A female ambulance worker was pinned between the two ambulances when they collided with each other.

She was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at around 11 am.

The deceased ambulance worker was identified as 32-year-old Nisha Jaia Renee Dash. At this time police have not filed any charges and the investigation is ongoing.
