NEW YORK, NY – A Brooklyn woman was saved by beads that adorned her religious headpiece and wig after being shot in the head Saturday night.

According to police, at around 7:20 p.m. on Saturday a 21-year-old Williamsburg woman was standing at the corner near Ross Street and Bedford Avenue when she became a victim of a drive-by shooting

The suspects then fled the scene. At this time in New York City Police Department does not have any suspects in custody. The department has not said whether or not the shooting was an intended hate crime or not.
