Police investigating armed carjacking in Greenbelt

GREENBELT CITY, MD – Greenbelt City police officers are investigating a September 11th carjacking that took place on Hanover Parkway.

According to police, at around 10:17 p.m., officers responded to the 7800 block of Hanover Pkwy for the report of an armed robbery.

“The victim stated he parked his vehicle and was walking to his residence when a car pulled up and two males wearing all black and black face masks approached the victim, pulled out a black handgun, pointed it at him, and demanded he give them his personal property and the keys to his 2017 Acura MDX. The suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle,” police said in a statement today.
