Phil Murphy’s Neighbor’s Car Nearly Stolen Out of Garage, Area Gets More Security Coverage

MIDDLETOWN, NJ – If your home gets broken into and your car gets stolen, if you’re lucky a police officer will show up and write a report, and a few days later don’t find your car not quite the way you left it in Newark, Camden or Trenton.

Insurance might even cover some of the damages after your deductible.

But, if you’re New Jersey governor Phil Murphy’s neighbor, and your car gets stolen oh, that means you can expect more Security on your block in the coming days and weeks ahead.


On Sunday, a suspect entered Governor Phil Murphy’s exclusive waterfront Middletown neighborhood looking to steal a car. The governor’s neighbor’s home was targeted by at least two would-be thieves trying to break into Bear Garage.

A neighbor who was alerted went to see what happened and scared the thieves off apparently. The perpetrators never gained access and fled the scene in a white BMW SUV.

Today, multiple media outlets reported that police Security in and around the governor’s neighborhood has increased since Sunday As a result of the attempted break-in and robbery.
