Man Who Shot Woman, Barricaded Himself in Home Taken into Custody

NORFOLK, VA – Detectives are continuing to investigate a shooting that left a woman injured early Wednesday morning.

Around 12:50 a.m., police were dispatched to the 6500 block of Chesapeake Blvd. for the report of a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they located a woman who was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

During the investigation, officers spotted the suspects’ car and attempted to pull the vehicle over. The driver refused to stop, and the officers pursued the car into a nearby neighborhood.

The suspects ran from the vehicle, and officers were continuing to chase after them when they entered an apartment located in the 1300 block of Johnstons Road.


Around 9:15 a.m., all of the suspects were taken into custody without incident.

At this point in the investigation, a stolen car was recovered and firearms have been seized.
