Man killed in Pittsburgh, Second Injured in Hill District Shooting

PITTSBURGH, PA – A 46-year-old man was shot and killed inside the doorway of his Hill District apartment at around 1:15 pm on Saturday, according to the Pittsburgh Police Department.

Police arrived at the Bedford Avenue residence to find two victims. One adult male, later identified as 46-year-old Warnell Boyd was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, who was unidentified was treated for a gunshot wound to the hand.

The incident happened at a home at the intersection of Bedford Avenue and Cassatt Street.

That victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and is recovering.
