Caught on video: Two women robbed at gunpoint by carjacker in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA- Police in Philadelphia are searching for a suspect wanted for a robbery that was committed on Monday at about 6:19 a.m. on Maxwell Place

In a video released by police today, the suspect can be seen approaching two women as they were getting into their vehicle. He then pulled a gun and aimed it at the two women. A suspect was seen running back and forth between the two women, pointing his gun at them, then opening the vehicle door and taking the victim’s bag from inside.

As the suspect pointed his gun at one of the women, she shouted, ” what do you want? Take what you want.”

At that point, the suspect picked up the victim’s handbag and fled the scene with their car.  While the two women were visibly shaken, there were no injuries reported.


Police released the video of the incident and are asking the public to help them identify the suspect in this carjacking.
