The animals at Popcorn Park will have a much more comfortable and enjoyable winter after members of the Lacey Moose Lodge donated a van full of blankets and $1,000 to the 45-year-old facility. Popcorn Park takes care of abused, abandoned, and forgotten animals. Their petting zoo is a favorite attraction to shore residents, young and old.

“All of us at AHS/Popcorn Park would like to extend our sincerest thanks to our friends at the Lacey Moose. These humane heroes held a donation drive in honor of Lacey Appreciation Day and in memory of Nick Juliano, former Lacey Twp. Mayor and Moose Lodge member,” park officials said today. “They collected an entire van-full of blankets, cleaning supplies, and pet supplies for us, in addition to monetary donations totaling $1000! We can’t thank them enough for their efforts, and for always remembering our animals here at AHS/Popcorn Park!”

Popcorn Park is located at 1 Humane Way Forked River. It is open daily until 5 pm. If you’re interested in adopting a cat or dog, the park also operates a shelter and adoption service.
