PITTSBURGH, PA –

The Allegheny County Sheriff’s office has reported that a Clairton man who has been a fugitive from justice since 2020, who was wanted for a felony DUI crash that led to the death of one victim has been arrested.

Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus said 28-year-old Daquan Thompson has been one of his Department’s most wanted fugitives prior to his arrest.

According to sheriff Kraus, on January 2020, Thompson was convicted following a non-jury trial before Judge Bruce Beemer of several charges, including homicide by vehicle while DUI, in connection with a fatal accident.

“Thompson failed to show for a sentencing hearing following his conviction and has been a fugitive ever since,” Kraus said. “Earlier this week, the Pennsylvania State Police received an anonymous tip regarding Thompson which was then relayed to our detectives. Thompson was located in Uniontown and taken into custody by our detectives without incident on Wednesday.”
