Absecon, NJ – The Absecon Police Department is investigating after reports of multiple shots fired in the vicinity of the Oyster Bay Apartment Complex on West California Avenue.
According to police, at around 3 p.m. on Monday reports of loud gunshots were reported to the police.
Upon their arrival, officers were told a suspect was fired an AR-style rifle and began investigating. Investigators located evidence that the shots were fired from a rifle, but they were unable to locate the suspected gunman.
Police are now asking neighbors in the community to check their home security video systems and to contact police if the subject was captured on those devices.
