WILMINGTON, DE – A 40-year-old woman was struck and killed by a passing car while crossing lanes northbound on Foulk Road in Wilmington on Saturday.
Police are continuing their investigation after she was struck Saturday by a driver in a blue 2005 Toyota Camry.
According to police, the woman, who remains unidentified, was crossing the road outside of the crosswalk at the time of the collision.
The female pedestrian was transported from the scene to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. Identification of the victim is pending notification to the next of kin.
The driver of the Camry, a 51-year-old female from Wilmington, Delaware, was properly restrained and was not injured, police reported.
