COLUMBUS, OH – A man working as a bouncer at a bar near the intersection of South Hamilton Road and East Livingston Avenue was shot by a patron as he attempted to check the man for weapons before entering the establishment.

“A patron attempted to enter the bar without being patted down which led to an argument,” the Columbus Police Department said in a statement. “The patron produced a handgun and shot the bouncer in the right thigh.”

The incident happened on September 13th, but today the Columbus Police Department released a photo of the suspect after being unsuccessful in identifying the man wanted for the shooting. He was described as being six feet tall, weighing around 190 pounds and in his late 20s.

Anyone who can help identify this suspect is asked to contact Det. Pruitt at 614-645-6394.
