Firefighters respond to fire call on East Veterans Highway

JACKSON, NJ – Jackson Township firefighters and police responded to a home on the 700 block of East Veterans Highway at around 1:00 pm on Friday. Upon their arrival, firefighters found a fire inside the home contained to a clothes dryer in a basement.

The fire was contained at around 1:10 pm and put out by responding firefighters. No injuries were reported.

Sirens could be heard along East Veterans Highway as multiple fire units and police units responded to the scene.
