NEW YORK, NY – A twenty-two-year-old man who was struck by a subway train in Manhattan early Sunday morning was Prussia to Bellevue Hospital and is in stable condition, according to the New York City Police Department. Amazingly he survived after being struck by a train that was heading toward the 50th Street and 8th Street Avenue Station.
The New York City Police Department said the man attempted to climb up to the platform at around 4:30 a.m. as a train was pulling into the station. Despite an attempt by the train conductor to stop the Train, the man was struck.
At this time, the New York City Police Department does not know why the man was attempting to gain access to the tracks, and no charges have been filed against him.
The victim was not identified by police.
