New York Police Department to beef up security to ensure safe transit to and from Yankee Stadium

As always, you will see NYPD officers around the stadium, and in the transit system while commuting to and from the game to ensure the safety of all in attendance.

NEW YORK, NY – MississippiAs the New York Yankees prepared to take on the Cleveland Indians, make that Guardians, the New York City Police Department has pledged to ensure safe passage for all visitors using the troubled New York City subway system to get to the game at Yankee Stadium today.

“This afternoon, the Yankees face off against Cleveland in the Bronx. As always, you will see NYPD officers around the stadium and in the transit system while commuting to and from the game to ensure the safety of all in attendance,” the NYPD said.

In recent months the New York City subway system has been plagued with violent assault attacks and sexual assault against women. Many people choose to take the subway train to Yankee Stadium to avoid congestion, even those coming from New Jersey.


Extra police officers were seen at stations around Yankee Stadium and further into the city ahead of the game which started at 1:05 p.m. on Friday.

Yankees lead the series 1-0 I kept Cleveland. Please game was supposed to be played last night, but heavy rains forced Major League Baseball to delay the game until today.
