Former President Donald Trump has a desk inside his office at Mar-A-Lago. It looks like any desk a multi-millionaire executive would have in his office, but Governor Chris Christie this week said the desk is a sign that Trump can’t cope with not being the President.
Christie says a large desk in his office looks like the resolute desk in the White House, but if you compare photos of the two desks, it doesn’t.
“He can’t believe that he’s not president,” Christie said this week on ABC’s This Week. “He needs to display to everyone down at Mar-a-Lago … that he still has some of those trappings. The replica Resolute Desk in Mar-a-Lago and all the rest of those things that are assuaging his disappointment and his disbelief that he’s not the president anymore.”
Christie said Trump kept confidential documents to have only as a trophy, calling the desk a ‘replica resolute desk’ at Mar-A-Lago.
