A fight inside an East Village apartment in New York City ended with one person dead and another one hospitalized by gunfire.
Police reported to the East 12th Street apartment near Avenue C in Alphabet City where they discovered the two victims.
The shooting happened at around 7:30 pm. An unidentified 21-year-old was shot in the chest and died a short time later at the hospital. A second victim, a 24-year-old male was shot in the leg and is recovering in stable condition.
No suspects have been arrested and police are investigating.
