NYPD investigating assault and robbery on subway train

NEW YORK – A 34-year-old man was assaulted and robbed by a group of young men on the southbound 7 train Sunday evening. Police said the group approached the man as the train was heading into the Main Street station in Flushing.

They forcibly removed the man’s glasses from his face and smacked him.

The group left the station before police arrived at the scene. At this time, no charges have been filed.
