Deputy State Fire Marshals assigned to the Northeast Region continue to investigate the cause of this vacant house fire in the 2000 block of Pulaski Highway Friday afternoon.

ABERDEEN, MD – Investigators with the Maryland State Fire Marshals have announced that a fire at a vacant house in the 2000 block of Pulaski Highway outside Aberdeen is being investigated.

According to Northeast Region investigators, a witness observed a red Camaro in the area during the fire might be connected to the blaze that occurred Friday afternoon.

According to a report today, a female witness saw the Camaro at the home shortly before the fire broke out with several possible trespassers near the home. Fire marshals are now asking that witness to contact them, as well as anyone else who may have witnessed the incident to call 410-386-3050.

The Aberdeen Fire Department, Susquehanna Hose Co., and Aberdeen Proving Ground Fire & Emergency Services responded to the scene to extinguish the fire.

At this time, arson hasn’t been confirmed, but investigators are looking into the suspicious report.
