CUMBERLAND, MD – A 40-year-old Cumberland man was arrested for choking a woman and assaulting a juvenile inside their Bond Street residence.

The Cumberland Police Department responded to a report of an assault in the 400 block of Bond Street on Sunday. When officers arrived on the scene, they contacted the victims of the alleged assault.

Upon arrival, officers learned that there had been an argument between the suspect and the victim inside the residence.

As a result of the de-escalation of the argument, the victim attempted to go to bed for the evening.

According to reports, the suspect pulled the victim from the bed, threw them to the ground, and choked them.

Following this, the suspect struck a juvenile multiple times in the face with their aggression. Following the arrival of the Cumberland police officers on the scene, the suspect fled on foot.

After conducting a thorough search, officers located the suspect at a residence on Central Ave.

Dameon Eugene Lockett, 40, of Cumberland, MD, was arrested for assault.
