JESSUP, MD – In November, a group of employees pooled their money and hopes for a piece of the record-breaking Powerball jackpot. Several of them purchased tickets as it rolled, week after week, but decided to team up as the jackpot climbed over $1 billion.

Even though they did not win the jackpot in the Nov. 2 drawing, they did win a third-tier prize of $50,000.

The group’s leader is a 31-year-old Pasadena woman. Their lucky ticket was purchased at High’s located at 2861 Jessup Road in Jessup.
