Suspects sought for multiple armed robberies, carjacking in Philadelphia violent crime spree

Philadelphia, PA – Detectives in Philadelphia are searching for a group of male suspects wanted for five armed robberies in the city’s Fishtown neighborhood on Wednesday.

According to police, the crime spree started at 5 am when a 28-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint while walking along North Frankford Avenue.

“When he walked by his vehicle his key fob set off the vehicle’s lights,” police said. “During which time, four unknown black males wearing ski masks were across the street and a 5th unknown black male also with a ski mask was walking towards the victim.”


After one of the males shouted out to the victim, “Come here,” the victim began running, pushing his way past the male attempting to flee.

A second male who was across the street began chasing him and threatening to shoot the victim if he continued to run. The victim then stopped at which time he was grabbed by the suspect going through his pockets, taking his key fob to his vehicle. The suspects then fled the area in the victim’s vehicle.

Twenty minutes later, at 5:20 am a second victim, a 37-year-old male, was walking on 30 E Columbia St when he was approached by two unknown black males who pointed a handgun at him stating, “Give me everything you have.” The black males then took the victim’s cellphone and were last seen running down Blair St.

A 60-year-old man became the third victim just a few blocks away twenty minutes later. At 5:40am, the victim was walking to his vehicle on the on 13xx block of E Oxford St four when unknown males approached him and began punching him removing items from his pockets. The man was robbed of his wallet and keys before the suspects fled.

At the same time, another man, a 33-year-old was attacked by four black males on the 1400 block of East Oxford Street.

The four unknown black males approached the victim and began punching him and removing the victim’s items then fled and were last seen west on Oxford towards Frankford Ave.  The assailants fled with the victim’s phone, watch, jacket and gym bag.

Eight minutes later, a 56-year-old male, was walking to the bus stop in the 1300 block of E Columbia Ave when three unknown black males wearing all black approached a victim and punched him taking his wallet. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
