Here’s when Toms River Public Works Dept. will pick up garbage during Thanksgiving week

The Toms River Township Department of Public Works will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2022. There will be no sanitation or recycling collections and the Recycling Convenience Center will be closed.

All regular sanitation and recycling collections after Wednesday are postponed one day, with Friday’s sanitation collections being picked up on Saturday.


Bulk pickups for Wednesday (11/23) and Thursday (11/24) sanitation areas will all be picked up on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.

Extra Recycling will take place on Wednesday, 11/23.

The Public Works office will also be closed on Thursday 11/24 and Friday, 11/25 in observance of the holiday.

The Recycling Convenience Center will be open on Friday, 11/25 and Saturday, 11/26 from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm
