Pet Store donates microchip readers to the Chambersburg Police Department

The Chambersburg Borough Police would like to thank The PET Store for its donation of 5 microchip readers to the department

CHAMBERSBURG BOROUGH, PA – Police officers in Chambersburg will now be equipped to quickly locate owners of found missing pets, thanks to a donation by the PET Store. The microchip readers allow the department to scan implanted microchips in cats and dogs to allow the department to quickly identify their owners.

“The Chambersburg Borough Police would like to thank The PET Store for its donation of 5 microchip readers to the department,” the department said. “These devices make it easier for officers to reunite lost and found pets that have been microchipped with their owners.”

Since the early 2000’s, the PET Store has donated food for the CPD’s K9 Teams.
