Jewish father, son shot in bb-gun drive-by outside Staten Island Kosher market

NEW YORK, NY – New York City Police Department detectives are investigating a possible hate crime against a Jewish man and his son outside a Kosher supermarket on Victory Boulevard in Staten Island.

Police said the man and his 7-year-old son were both shot at by a male in a black Ford Mustang outside Island Kosher.

The two were wearing yarmulkes at the time of the shooting. The father was struck in the upper torso and the child had a graze wound to the head. Neither was seriously injured.


No further suspect description was provided. No arrests have been made. Police are investigating the incident as a possible biased crime.
