Secaucus man arrested after an investigation into sharing photos of children online

SECAUCUS, NJ – Detectives from the Secaucus Police Department joined the Internet Crimes Against Children [I.C.A.C.] Task Force – New Jersey, which is headed by the New Jersey State Police.

Secaucus Police Detective Division and Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office arrested Douglas Curdgele at his Hagan Place residence on December 2, 2022. Following a month-long investigation led by Secaucus Police Detective Kristen Bronowich, it has been confirmed that Douglas Curdgele, 27, viewed and disseminated a video that depicted children engaging in sexual activity

“The Secaucus Police Department will take part in any initiative that will protect children from being victimized,” Chief Dennis Miller said. The Secaucus Police Department will work tirelessly with our County and State law enforcement counterparts to hunt child predators and bring them to justice. I am extremely proud of the work my detective put forth.”


“I commend the Secaucus Police Department for investigating this case and its willingness to work collaboratively with law enforcement statewide,” said Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.
