Firefighters battle commercial blaze in Linden

LINDEN, NJ – A three-alarm fire was reported overnight in Linden at a food preparation company in the area of East Elizabeth and North Park Avenues.

Firefighters responded to the scene shortly after 12:30 am Tuesday morning in then area of World Class Kitchens located at 1911 Pennsylvania Avenue.

According to the Linden Police Department, firefighters, with assistance from multiple Union County Mutual Aid departments, were successful in containing the fire to a single building.


“The building was occupied at the time of the incident, and all employees were evacuated. One worker was treated for smoke inhalation and transported to a local hospital,” the Linden Police Department said. “Parts of Park Ave, Linden Ave, and Elizabeth Ave, along with other surrounding streets, remain closed at this time.”
