D.C. Metro Police seeking vehicle involved in drive-by shooting of juvenile

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A juvenile was rushed to the hospital after being shot from a passing vehicle in the sixth district.

Detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department’s said the shooting occurred on Monday, January 2, in the 100 block of Ridge Road, Southeast.

“At approximately 1:00 pm, officers responded to the listed location. Preliminary investigation suggests shots were fired from a vehicle striking a juvenile male victim,” the department said today in a statement. “The suspect vehicle then fled the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injuries.”

The vehicle was captured on video by a nearby surveillance video camera.
