Columbus murder suspect, wanted fugitive is armed and dangerous, police

Abdulbasid Mohamed Ahmed may have fled the central Ohio area and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

COLUMBUS, OH – Alleged murder suspect Abdulbasid Mohamed Ahmed is being sought by police in Columbus, but investigators fear he may have already fled Ohio.

This week, detectives identified the 20-year-old suspect as the person responsible for the fatal shooting of Hassan Hassan that occurred at a gas station in northeast Columbus on January 3rd.

“Abdulbasid Mohamed Ahmed may have fled the central Ohio area and is considered to be armed and dangerous,” police said. “He was last seen driving a 2004 Infinity FX35 with a temporary Ohio tag Q233650.”


Anyone who knows the whereabouts of this suspect is asked to call the Columbus Division of Police Homicide Bureau at 614-645-4730. Tips can also be made to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS.
