13-year-old murder suspect turned himself in to police for killing Chase Jones

CLAIRTON, PA – A 13-year-old male suspect was arrested and charged with criminal homicide after he shot and killed a teenage male inside a home on Wilson Avenue.

According to police 13-year-old Laquan Rich-Cabbagestalk shot and killed 13-year-old Chase Jones while the two were playing video games.

“I killed him,” Rich-Cabbagestalk said after the shooting, according to the charges against him.

On Monday, at approximately 9:19 p.m., Clairton Police and paramedics were called to the 400 block of Wilson Avenue for a teenage male shot inside a residence.


Jones was pronounced deceased at the scene.


Rich-Cabbagestalk was released from custody on Wednesday.
