Man threatened violence against teen girl who refused his advances

NEW YORK, NY – A man who made unwanted sexual advances toward a teenage girl in Brooklyn was so upset about being turned down that he threatened violence against the 17-year-old.

Detectives with the NYPD’s 70th Precinct are investigating the incident that took place Wednesday outside 162 East 22nd Street near Borough Park.

According to police the man engaged in conversation with the young girl and began making more aggressive sexual advances toward her.


When she refused him, he began threatening to physically harm her. She was able to flee the scene and was not injured. The suspect left the scene in a gray four-door sedan.

Police believe the man is in his mid-20s and has a dark complexion. He was wearing a black du-rag, blue sweatshirt, light-colored pants, and black sandals.

It was reported to police that on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at approximately 2320 hours, a 17-year-old female was engaged in conversation with an individual opposite of 162 East 22 Street.
