Laredo Sector Border Patrol arrests gang member


LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Laredo West Station arrested a gang member in Laredo, Texas.

On Feb. 4, Border Patrol agents while working their assigned duties apprehended a group near in northwest Laredo. After transporting the group to the Laredo West Station, agents conducted record checks and discovered the individuals were in the country illegally.

Record checks also revealed a 36-year-old male Mexican national, identified as Rene Hernandez-Zapata as a member of the Paisa Prison gang and had prior felony convictions for alien smuggling. He was processed accordingly.
