Turkey terrorizing South Jersey town for weeks has finally been captured

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – Residents of Gloucester Township who have been terrorized by a rogue turkey in recent weeks can rest easy tonight.

Named “Perry”, the menacing turkey has finally been captured.

Police said the turkey was picked up in the downtown Blackwood area safely with the assistance of the USDA and NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife.


” Gloucester Township Police is happy to announce that Perry The Turkey, who has been terrorizing the motoring public in the downtown Blackwood area of Gloucester Township, New Jersey for the past several weeks, has been safely captured,” the Gloucester Township Police Department said today. “We thank the USDA and NJ Fish and Wildlife for their assistance in capturing Perry and relocating him to wildlife habitat that is free of major roadways and vehicles for him attack.”
