Detectives investigating death of 75-year-old New York City man say he was murdered

NEW YORK, NY – Detectives from the New York City Police Department’s 60th Precinct investigating the suspicious death of a 75-year-old man in the Carey Gardens housing complex in Brooklyn say his death is now ruled as a homicide.

Police found 75-year-old Donald Wallace inside his apartment at 2832 West 23rd Street on Thursday, unconscious and unresponsive.

EMS arrived shortly afterward and declared Wallace deceased at the scene.

Police now believe Wallace was murdered. At this time, no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.


The Office of the Medical Examiner has yet to determine a cause of death.
