Police seeking lower Manhattan subway groping suspect

NEW YORK, NY – Police in lower Manhattan are investigating a subway groping incident involving an unknown male who forcibly touched a 26-year-old female victim on an escalator inside a downtown subway station.

According to police, at around 9:25 am on Monday, the victim, a 26-year-old female, was on the escalator in the Bowling Green subway station when an unknown male individual approached and touched the victim’s buttocks.

“The individual then fled on an unknown northbound train,” the NYPD said today in a statement. “There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident.”


The suspect was described as a male with a dark complexion, 6’0” in height, and approximately 165 lbs. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, gray jacket, dark-colored pants, and a backpack.
