Police in Amherst break up brawl at Boulevard Mall

AMHERST, NY – Police officers in Amherst were dispatched to the parking lot of the Boulevard Mall on Alberta Drive after receiving reports of large crowds and multiple fights Saturday night.

Shortly after 9 pm, officers arrived at the mall after multiple 911 calls were made regarding the disturbance. Police reported witnessing multiple fights across the entire parking lot upon their arrival.

Eventually, officers were able to disperse the crowds. None of the participants in the fights reported injuries.


Multiple nearby agencies also responded to the incident including the New York State Police, State University Police, Erie County Sheriff’s Office and other local agencies.

No injuries were reported and no arrests were reported.
