PHILADELPHIA, PA – A couple is being sought by police after shooting the store manager at the Save A Lot discount store located at 6305 Chew Avenue in Northwest Philadelphia’s Germantown section.

According to police, on February 19, an unknown black male along with a black female were involved in a verbal dispute with the store manager and security guard.

During the altercation, the female suspect pulled a firearm and pointed it at the security guard.

“The guard quickly disarmed the female and both suspects were escorted from the building,” detectives said.

But the suspects quickly returned to the store and confronted the store manager again.

“During this second altercation, the male suspect shot the manager point blank in the face, leaving him in critical condition,” police said.

Both suspects fled on foot toward the Awbury View Apartments across the street.
