13-year-old scooterjacked at knifepoint in Brooklyn

NEW YORK, NY – A group of men approached a 13-year-old boy in the area of Troy Avenue and Empire Boulevard in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn and robbed him of his scooter at knifepoint.

Police said the broad daylight incident occurred at around 4 pm last Monday in front of 734 Empire Boulevard.

Detectives with the 71st Precinct reported the three men surrounded the boy as one suspect displayed a kitchen knife with a black handle. The three suspects proceeded to forcibly remove the boy’s scooter.


The men fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The boy was not injured during the theft and police have not made any arrests at this time.

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals depicted in the attached media in connection to a robbery that occurred within the confines of the 71 Precinct. Details are as follows:
