Man pushed down stairs at NYC subway station then robbed

NEW YORK, NY – Police are investigating an armed robbery and assault inside a Queens subway station last Wednesday. According to the NYPD, a 30-year-old man walking up the stairwell at the 169th Street subway station was approached by two unknown suspects at around 11:30 pm.

As he was walking, he was pushed down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairwell, one of the attackers pulled a knife on the man and demanded his money.

The victim told the suspects he had no money. They proceeded to forcibly remove his cell phone before fleeing the station.


The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the attack.

107th Precinct detectives described the suspects as males with dark complexions, 5’7”-5’9” in height, and believed to be in their 20’s.
