Police investigating shooting death of Annapolis man

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Detectives with the Annapolis Police Department are investigating the shooting of an adult male found dead in the area of the 100 block of Obery Court.

At around 5:15 pm on Thursday, police found Raphael Hilton Johnson, Jr. with a single gunshot wound to the back of his head.

The Annapolis Fire Department arrived at the scene, where they pronounced Mr. Johnson deceased at approximately 5:26 pm. 

Police said the incident was captured on a nearby surveillance video camera and are investigating. At this time, no suspects have been identified by police and no arrests have been made. The APD has described the case as a “fluid investigation” and is asking witness to contact them.
