NEW YORK, NY – Police in New York City believe a robbery suspect, possibly a teenager, is targeting juveniles in Jamaica, Queens.

The suspect is wanted for at least two armed robberies of juveniles in February. Today, police released photos of the suspect wanted for both robberies.

On Valentine’s Da, a 13-year-old male victim was approached by an unknown individual who asked him for money and his sweatshirt at 146 Street and 101 Avenue.

“The individual simulated a firearm inside of his sweatshirt and threatened to shoot the victim. The individual fled eastbound on Liberty Avenue with the victim’s sweatshirt and $14. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of this incident,” the NYPD said today.

Then, on Friday, February 17, at around 7 am, the suspect robbed a 12-year-old in the area of South Road and Sutphin Boulevard.

“A 12-year-old victim was approached by an unknown individual who asked to use his phone. The individual then displayed an unknown object which appeared to be a firearm and demanded the victim’s phone. The victim complied with the demand and the individual proceeded to flee northbound on Sutphin Boulevard. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of this incident,” police reported.

The NYPD believes the suspect is 15 or 16 years old.
