Man shot and killed inside Brooklyn public housing project

NEW YORK, NY – A 46-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday morning inside the Louis Armstrong Houses, a New York City Housing Authority public project apartment building.

Police responded to the scene at around 5:40 am to find the victim with multiple gunshot wounds across his body.

A 911 call was made to police reporting gunshots heard inside the building.

The man was treated at the scene by EMS and was taken to NYC Health & Hospitals/Woodhull where he was later pronounced dead.


At this time, no suspects have been identified. Police have not made any arrests.

The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
