Police investigating after container of human remains found in Balitmore

BALTIMORE, MD – Human remains were found in a container found in the Forest Park neighborhood of Baltimore on Tuesday. Now, the Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy to determine whose remains they were.

At around 5:37 on Tuesday, police responded to the 3900 block of Liberty Heights Avenue after a container with human remains was found on the property.

“When officers arrived at the location, Officers were advised that there was a black container containing possible human remains in the curtilage of the 3400 block of Garrison boulevard,” police said. “The remains were then transported to the Medic Examiners’ers’ Office for an autopsy. And homicide was notified.”

On Wednesday, the Medical Examiners’ Office ruled the remains to be human and the cause of death a homicide.


Police have not released any further information regarding this incident.
