Atlantic City police seeking fugitive shooting suspect

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Police in Atlantic City are searching for a fugitive wanted for attempted murder in relation to a shooting that took place Friday morning.

According to police, Ayman H. Shiham, 21, of Atlantic City, shot a 29-year-old man in the 3800 block of Ventnor Avenue at around 7:30 am.

The Atlantic City Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter alert at that time. When they arrived on scene, they found a 29-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.


“Evidence of gunfire was also located at the scene,” ACPD said in a statement. “The victim was transported by ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of injuries that are considered non-life threatening.”

After conducting an investigation, police determined Shiham to be the shooter. He is currently at large and considered armed an dangerous.

He has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and possession of a high-capacity magazine.
