Shooting And Traffic Accident Leaves Two Dead And One Injured in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A shooting and traffic accident in Southeast D.C. left two men dead and one man injured as a result of the traffic accident last night.

Officers from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department arrived at the 500 Block of 11th Street shortly before 8:30 pm to investigate a report of a shooting and traffic accident. Inside a vehicle, police found two men that had been shot, and one injured as a result of the auto accident.

The initial victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. The third victim was hospitalized and is expected to survive.


34-year-old Othaniel Gaither, DC was identified as one of the victims that did not survive. The identity of the other suspects has not been released at this time.
